Work to repair the roof of the village hall is nearly complete. This has been needed for a long time now.
The hall, originally the village school, is now an old building in need of considerable TLC to preserve it for future generations of villagers. We are lucky to have received some grant money that means we can tackle some of these jobs.
It is hoped that the toilets and kitchen will also be refurbished in the near future. If anyone is planning a replacement kitchen in the future and will have some units that could be reused we would love to hear from you, as this will make the job affordable.
The Holmpton Community Association wants to re-engage the community in 2023 with an array of events including quiz nights, jumble sales, art and craft shows, an event for the coronation of King Charles III, open gardens, and much more. Do you have any ideas? Email us.
